City will Use Android to Support Security System

To increase the citizen's safety and comfort, Jakarta Provincial Government will use android-based technology and closed circuit television (CCTV). Later, the system will be used to monitor the crime in capital directly.

"We must make sure that you are safe, we will use android system as facility to receive the citizen's report," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, after attended the Bina Kusuma dan Cipta Kondisi 2015 operation result at Jakarta Police Headquarters, Tuesday (2/3).

By the system, Basuki continued, citizens can directly tag the prone area, and then send Satpol PP officer to check the place. "If there is a red sign in a place, we will send Satpol PP immediately and if we found thuggery at the area, we directly coordinate with police for the action," he explained.

Not only that, Basuki said, Jakarta Provincial Government will also install high technology CCTV and integrate it with police security system. "We will install CCTV that can see face and number, maybe it will optimal by the end of this year.  Then, we will install terminal parking economic and CCTV alongside the road," he uttered.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Police Chief Ins. Gen. Unggung Cahyono said, his side will take action against any person who did thuggery. "Our country must strong against thuggery and other crimes. We must better in prevention," said Unggung.

In this operation, Jakarta Police succeed securing 2,785 thugs, with the evidence of 4 firearms, 71 sharp weapons, 88 motorcycles, 20 cars, 99 mobile phones, and 14 ,319 liquor bottles.
